Steps to Request a Transfer to a ¿´Æ¬ÊÓƵ School:
Step 1: Do you want to enroll in your resident school?
- Yes: Contact the resident school office. (¿´Æ¬ÊÓƵ School Directory)
- No: Go to Step 2.
Step 2: Do you live within the ¿´Æ¬ÊÓƵ Union School District boundaries?
- Yes: Go to Step 3 to complete an INTRA-District Transfer Application.
- No: Complete an INTER-District Transfer Application (See Below)
- Unsure:
Step 3: Does your student currently attend a CVUSD school?
- Yes: Submit an INTRA-District Transfer Application in your account.
- Click on "Student Transfer" located on the left side of the screen below your student's name.
- In the main section to the right, click on "Click Here to submit a transfer request."
- Complete and submit the transfer application.
- No: For new or returning students, .
INTER-District Transfer Application (from one district to another):
Paper applications are available in our office or click here to download the INTER-District Transfer Application. Completed applications will need to be printed, signed by a parent/guardian, and emailed to ESP@cajonvalley.net or brought in person to the Enrollment Services & Planning Department.

Current School Year (2024-25) Applications:
Determination notifications for applications submitted for the current school year are usually emailed within 14 days from the date the application is received. Processing may take up to 30 days during peak periods.
Next School Year (2025-26) Applications:
TRANSFER APPLICATION DEADLINE IS FEBRUARY 1, 2025
The application period for the 25/26 school year opens December 15, 2024 and closes February 1, 2025. Determinations will be made based on space availability. Notifications for applications submitted by the February 1st deadline will be emailed no later than May 1st.
Applications will continue to be received after the deadline of February 1, 2025 and considered on a space available basis, but determination may take much longer.
We approve as many transfer applications as our physical space, teaching, and staff caseloads can support. Transfer applications that exceed these limits will be placed on a waitlist, and there is no guarantee that students placed on a waitlist will be approved for the school year requested. Submitting the transfer application by the February 1st deadline greatly increases the likelihood of approval.
